Pandrin

Pandrin is a small desert world with a standard breathable nitrogen oxygen atmosphere directly across the Imperial border.

It has a population of around two million split among a number of different city states. Although the majority of the population are Vargr, close to 20% of the population are human, mainly traders from the Imperium.

Daeksuzaethuku is the most populous of the worlds of the 40th Squadron, which is not saying much as it only has a population of 5 million. As on a number of other 40th Squadron worlds the world consists of a number of independent self-governing city states.

The world itself has a thin, tainted atmosphere with seas and oceans covering 50% of the surface.

There are a number of space ports on Daeksuzaethuku each servicing the rival city states, and indeed the orbital starport is itself an independent state.

The largest city state and location of the downport is Arzgu, which is the most commercially successful and prosperous of the city states, but it is closely rivalled by the more militaristic Zurrgkoe. Other important city states include Dhazgae, an important religious centre where many Vargr come to seek cures to serious ailments.

Ghisaera

Just a couple of parsecs across the Imperial border lies the fertile Vargr agricultural world of Ghisaera. Ghisaera is a medium-sized world with a thin but breathable atmosphere. 80% of its surface is covered in oceans. It has a population of 7 million. It is a member state of the Commonality of Kedzudh.

Most of Ghisaera's agricultural surplus is shipped to its neighbour Ueghrrozu.

Kaets

Kaets is a medium-sized world with a very thin atmosphere. As a result there are sharp swings in temperature over the course of the day/night cycle, with freezing nights and scorching days. Some 60% of the surface is covered in ocean which can freeze at night and steam during the day. Dense mists and fogs are common.

There is a colony of around one million inhabitants on Kaets, ruled by a council appointed by the prominent families.

Unlike its neighbour Ueghrrozu, Kaets has a low law level, which attracts various criminal and rebel elements who find Ueghrrozu's police state gets in the way of their business. Kaets is a member state of the Commonality of Kedzudh.

Ueghrrozue

Ueghrrozue is one of the first significant Vargr worlds encountered by travellers venturing beyond the Imperial borders into the Vargr Extants. A member of the Commonality of Kedzudh, Ueghrrozue is ruled by an unpopular dictator.

The world has an exotic atmosphere and the population lives in a number of sealed cities. The world has a population of 90 million inhabitants.

As many as 10% of the population are human, mostly representatives of Imperial Megacorporations and there families, but also a fair number of émigrés and fugitives, including quite a few psionics.

Forrodhkhokh

Forrodhkhokh is a fertile if largely unpopulated planet a couple of parsecs across the Imperial Frontier. The main installation is a starport and orbital facility built by the 40th Squadron, the Vargr state which claims the world. The starport and orbital facility are run separately, and there is a separate research base set up by the city state of Zeng from Uthith.

The atmosphere is thin but breathable nitrogen/oxygen mix. Some 80% of the surface is covered by seas and oceans.

Uthith

Uthith is the capital of the small interstellar state known as 40th Squadron. As on many of the 40th squadron worlds there is no overall central government but a number of small 'city-state' colonies. The city states elect a council of representatives which largely co-ordinates foreign policy and mediates in some of the disputes between the various interests.

Uthith itself is a small barren cratered world with only a trace nitrogen atmosphere. The main startport is the city of Khrakts, which is the largest of the cities on Uthith with a population of around 200,000 inhabitants, and also the meeting place for the Council of Uthith. The other main cities on Uthith are Zeng and Ougrzzegh.
